Silas entered the healthcare IT world at Epic Systems as a Client Systems Engineer before finding a home in cloud technologies helping maintain Epic's Nebula platform. Before working in tech, he gained a grab-bag of experience including a career in the coffee industry and a mountain of side projects. Today at Sapphire, he focuses on finding fun ways to automate boring stuff, staying current on tech news, and expanding his knowledge of cybersecurity tools and techniques. Silas also believes that the work isn't worth doing unless you approach it with kindness and curiosity. Outside of work you may find him running, playing games, pursuing yet another new hobby, giving his dog chin scritches, or spooking his cats.
