Jamal Ferdinand
Technical Specialist, Network Infrastructure
A longtime resident of New Orleans, Jamal started his IT career with Harrah’s Casino New Orleans after owning his own IT Consulting firm. There he learned many aspects of IT, from Datacenter to Networking to Helpdesk. After 8 wonderful years with Harrah’s, it was time to move on to something new. In 2016, he began working on the Helpdesk at UMC/LCMC Health, where he became the SME for many Helpdesk related items. After a couple of Employee Recognition awards and getting noticed for his hard work, he moved to Networking. While in Networking, he has been largely responsible for connecting over 30 new remote clinics for Children’s Hospital, standing up over 50 new Network IDF’s and training of newly seasoned teammates. In his current role with Sapphire Health, he plays a role in the direction of how the Networking Infrastructure team operates. Outside of Sapphire Health in his personal life, he’s been married to his lovely wife Ashley, since 2010. They have 3 wonderful kids together and enjoy watching them grow. He has a great passion for baseball where he coached high school/little league for 6 years. He loves all athletic competition, is a true audiophile and enjoys hanging out with family.
